Whats New Release 1.3.0.37

Released May 2013

Release 1.3.0.37 of DMS has been produced in response to a number of specific issues being experienced on customer sites and is not a planned feature enhancement release.

New Features

Project Calendars Project Calendar is now a property of an OU in the project structure and allows dates to be excluded, or in the case of weekends included. Project Calendar settings are inherited in the structure and can therefore by set on a project level and then changed for specific sections of the structure as necessary.
Computer model, Application and Peripheral moved from SG templates to OU structure Computer model, applications and peripherals are no longer setup within a Schedule Group Template and then applied at the time a Schedule Group is created. A new tab has been added to the properties of an OU called Component Defaults. This solves the previous problem of not being able to change these components at a Schedule Group level once the deployments had been created. Components can now be changed as and when required and can be set to be inherited.
The ability to selectively show/hide applications from the User Portal and/or build sheets The parameters of a global application now include the ability to set whether an application is visible on the user portal and/or the build sheet.
Application Groups The parameters of a global application now include the ability to set a group name for an application. The group name will be displayed on the User Portal Applications page rather than each individual application with the same group name set.
New deployment types A deployment can now be one of four types; replace, rebuild, return or new. This provides the flexibility to support more than the typical new for old replacement deployment type.
New site name attribute A new attribute has been added to the Schedule Group Defaults tab of the OU Properties. This is an attribute that inherits within the structure and is provided to be available within project communications.
New DMS Console Deployments window layout and features The DMS Console Deployment window has been updated to allow the administrator to switch between a view of deployments, users or computers. It also provides an information header area which shows information about the Schedule Group such as T0 date, PM name and Schedule Group routes. The columns in each view are also now customisable.
Select feature added to DMS Console Task View The ‘select, none, invert’ feature has been added to the Task View in the DMS Console.
Additional level of administrator security An additional level of security has been added for Administrators that allows separate allocation of access to the DMS Console but not DMS Setup.
Wizard to assist with configuring administrator accounts A new administrator wizard allows for the replication of Menus, DTL & Build Portals, and Asset Locations from one administrator to others.
Report export to CSV now sets sheet name to report name When a report is exported to CSV it is named the same as the report that was run.
Completed by added to Task page The name of the administrator that completed the T-Schedule task is now visible on the Task page.
New function keys in DMS Console F5 can now be used to refresh the DMS Console and F3 can now be run to jump to the DMS Console search feature.
Web Portal password security policy An optional password security policy can now be applied to a DMS instance.
